Albion stalwart Aaron Tymms will once again lead the club’s young senior team in 2016 after being reappointed as head coach at a club committee meeting last night.
Having played more than 400 games for the Cats, Tymms will enter his third consecutive season in the top job, becoming the second longest serving coach since 2000, behind Mark McGoldrick who served at the helm from 2002-2006.
Named as an Assistant Coach in the 2015 WRFL Senior Interleague squad, club administrator Mal Thompson said the Cats are looking forward to seeing where Tymms will be able to take the playing group.
“The club is really pleased to have Aaron continue as our senior coach next year.
“He has put some structures in place this season which will put the group in good stead for 2016.”
Despite securing just six wins in the past two seasons, Thompson said the talent developing from the club’s younger players is exciting to watch.
“We are confident we will keep all our young players on board next year, so the group is 100 per cent behind Aaron and his vision for the club in the future.
“With another season under their belt and a chance to mature as a team, the whole club is looking forward to getting stuck into the pre-season and getting back out on the track in 2016.”
