Skills Workshop for Basketball For Good Coahes
Port Moresby - The inaugural Basketball for Good skills workshop organized by BFPNG was attended by 15 coaches on August 26, 2024, at the Taurama Aquatic Indoor Centre.
Despite unforeseen timing changes by the venue management, the workshop provided a valuable opportunity for our coaches to align with our program's goals and messaging, emphasizing good behavior and program delivery standards. The session included an overview of the program, revisions to our code of conduct, and the importance of quality program delivery.
Ms. De’Lisha Koime Program Quality Lead said “Although most participants showed genuine interest and engaged in productive participation, there were challenges with some failing to follow through, slow response times, and last-minute venue management changes. Going forward, we will continue to prioritize the importance of commitment and professionalism in our program delivery.”
"Reflection on our program deliverables for alignment is vital.” Del, the BFPNG's B4G Lead Facilitator, added.
The Basketball for Good, has been a reality thanks to the Australian Government through TEAM UP Programs and support from FIBA Oceania.
