Commemorating International Day of Sport Development and Peace
Port Moresby (PAPUA NEW GUINEA) – The Basketball Federation of Papua New Guinea (BFPNG) celebrated International Day of Sport Development and Peace with Hoops for Health – Mini Basketball.
This year’s theme was scoring for the people and the planet. BFPNG’s Mini Basketball event was held to promote friendship, social inclusion and gender equality basketball skills and drills.
Participants from schools between the ages of 6 and 16 including those living with a disability attended the event and tried basketball for the first time in a fun and safe environment.
Mini Basketball in Papua New Guinea is supported by the Australian Government through Team Up, and delivered by the Basketball Federation of PNG in conjunction with FIBA.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
