Team Palau High School "Spiders" won in a double overtime nailbitting finale over team Emmaus High School "Squires" by a score of 81-78 in a last second 3 point buzzer beater. The squires lead from the opening tip and at the end of 1st half held a 2 point lead by a score of 21-23. The 2nd half of the game saw a different tale as team Spiders lead most of the way but failed to score a last second layup to put the game in the 1st overtime by a score of 59-59. Both team scored 11 points in the 1st overtime. In the 2nd overtime the score was tied at 78 when Bow Williams took a desperate hailmary shot to win the game for the Spiders. All hell broke lose as the gym was packed with fans from both schools. Afterwards special thanks were given to the teachers and coaches of all teams and special acknowledgement to the Palau Basketball Federation and all the volunteers who made the games possible. Congratulations to the champions team PHS Spiders and the rest of the teams for a successful season and see you next year.
