KSG Royals secures another win in GBL

Team Koror State Government (KSG) Royals secured another victory, this time at the expense of MOJ Lawmen, 77-71 Friday in the ongoing 2014 season of the Rudimch Enterprise Government/Business League at the Palau National gym.

Trailing 21-15 in the opening quarter, KSG Royals pulled a 21-15 spurt in the second canto to the game at 36-all at the end of the first half of play. Then KSG Royals continued their roll as they took a 57-56 breather in the third.

The Royals then outscored MOJ Lawmen in the final frame with a 20-15 output to secure the win. Gino Smau led the scoring chores for KSG Royals with 34 points while Jason Brell topscored for the Lawmen also with 34 baskets on the losing end.

In other games, MOF Omsangel beat PPUC Electric Eel, 88-73; PPR Stingrays won over Mason’s Mercury, 107-104; Fish N’ Fins defeated WCTC Powerball, 75-72; Neco bested PRR Dragons, 78-68; PPR Shark Attack outscored Yrang’s Salon, 104-102; team ABC escaped MOF Omsangel, 69-68; and President’s X-Men downed KSG Royals, 63-61.

Games will resume tonight with PPR Shark Attack versus SDA Crusaders at 6 p.m. followed by the MOJ Lawmen-President’s X-Men tussle at 7:30 p.m. while Island Rhythm will face Fish N’ Fins at 9 p.m.

Wednesday night matches will have WCTC Powerball against Yrang’s Salon at 6 p.m. as Team Malii will take on MOE Spiders at 7:30 p.m. while Fish N’ Fins will be pitted against SDA Crusaders in the night cap at 9 p.m.

Thursday night games will feature MOF Omsangel versus MOH Band Aid at 6 p.m. while President’s X-Men will take on team Malii at 7:30 p.m.
