Sen. Toribiong host dinner for men’s and women’s basketball
With the aim of boosting the morale of the athletes going to the 8th Micronesian Games, Senator Joel Toribiong hosted a dinner for the men’s and women’s basketball last Saturday at the Penthouse Hotel.
During the dinner, Sen. Toribiong told the athletes to give their best in every game and reminded them to have fun. He also told them that they should play as a team in every game they play.
“Win or lose we will be cheering for you guys. Aside from playing, have fun and make friends with the other teams, in that way you are always a winner,” Toribiong added.
The men’s and women’s team will face a tough assignment as they are set to meet powerhouse teams such as Guam, Saipan and host Phonpei. By Peter Erick L. Magbanua (Island Times News)
