WCC Hammers beat Meda Boyz in IP&E NBL

Team WCC Hammers used their second half assault as they bested Medalaii Meda Boyz, 67-64, Thursday night in the ongoing 2014 IP&E National Basketball League (NBL) at the Palau National gym.

Down 42-30 in the first half of play, WCC Hammers started their offensive as they outscored Meda Boyz with a 21-13 output in the third canto to be within striking distance at 51-55.

Then they went on to outscore Meda Boyz in the fourth with a 14-12 run as they went on to win the game with Brandon Harvey leading the offensive chores with 14 points while teammate Franky Kuchad chipped in 12.

On the other hand, RB Dorado topscored for Meda Boyz with 18 as Shonty Ubedei and Jose Meltel had 16 and 13 baskets, respectively on the losing end.

In other games, Ngermid Rivals drubbed the Breakers, 105-78.

Games will resume tonight with Breakers versus Surangel Kings at 7 p.m. as Matakui will face Ngerchemai Ranchers at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night will feature Ngaraard Red Torch against Ngerchemai Ranchers at 7 p.m. as Matakui will play Peched Raw at 8:30 p.m.

Thursday night will have Peched Raw taking on Ngerchemai Ranchers at 7 p.m. while Medalaii Meda Boyz will face Ngermid Rivals in the main game at 8:30 p.m.
