Spoilers take win no. 7

Defending champion FR Spoilers improve their standing as they scored their seventh straight victory at the expense of the Royal Cargo Rangers, 102-66, Sunday in the Filipino Basketball League (FBL) at the Palau National gym.

The Spoilers showed they meant business as they took an early 21-10 lead and then close down the first half with a 23-20 run for a 44-30 advantage. In the third, the Spoilers showed their pesky full court defense as they held up the Rangers to just 15 point as to their 25 as they erected a 69-45 lead.

From there, the Spoilers just picked up where they left and went on to win the game and sport a 7-2 win-loss record in the team standings. Michael Bombita led the scoring chores for the Spoilers with 25 as Leo Sebastian chipped in 20 while Lorens Heria topscored for the Rangers with 17 as they dropped to a 5-4 card.

In other games, Hanpa Cardinals won over PNQ Crushers, 103-76; Liquid Skyy Dragons bested PECI Spartans, 105-66; and Surangel Stars defeated Jaguars, 112-82.
