Meda Boyz beat Lawmen in IP&E ABL

Hot streaking Medalaii Meda Boyz continued their winning ways this time at the expense of Lawmen PEAC, 83-57 Friday night in the ongoing IP&E Amateur Basketball League (ABL) at the Palau National gym.

Meda Boyz staged a 14-13 lead in the opening tip off and then charged in the second canto of play with an 18-11 run to take a 32-24 advantage at the end of the first half.

Meda Boyz would make their stand in the final quarter as they outscored the Lawmen with a 28-10 run enough to give them the win with RB Dorado sizzling as he finished the game with 33 points as teammate Joshua Kloulubak  clipped 16.

On the other hand, Alladin Lecholch topscored for the Lawmen with 18 as Elliton Tengoll chipped in 10 markers on the losing end.

In other matches, Ngaraard Red Torch won over Ididers, 78-69; Hanpa Cardinals beat Melngoes, 87-84; Ngermid Rivals defeated Blue Sharks, 98-75; and PCC Mesekiu outscored Matakui, 87-70.

Games resume tonight with Meyuns Red Storm versus Ngerchelong Blue Sharks at 6 p.m. while Neco Marine Stingers will meet Raw Surf in the main game at 7:30 p.m.

Teams are reminded to use their uniform in every game. The jersey/t-shirts should match with the shorts and their numbers. Teams will be charged $25 for failure to comply and will be defaulted.

Team coaches, representatives and managers are reminded that their will be a meeting on February 5, 11:30 a.m. at the PNOC Conference Room. Agenda of the meeting will be for the schedule of the Playoff round and attendance is a must.

Teams this season, teams are divided into two pools. Pool A will have Papago Smooth, Ngarchelong Blue Shark, Ngaraard Red Torch, Hanpa Cardinals, Surangel Kings, Meyuns Red Storm, Melngoes, Ranchers, Ididers and Ngermid Rivals. Pool B will be composed of MEDA Boys, Matakui, Idid 4x4 Wheelers, Ikelauans, Stingers, Lawmen PEAC, Raw Surf, Breakers, Airwaves and PCC Mesekiu.
