PHS B takes third place honors in ISL Senior Varsity bball

Palau High School team B Gray settled for third place honors after beating Emmaus High School (EHS) Squires, 71-57 Friday in the 2014 Inter-School League (ISL) Senior Varsity basketball league played at the Palau National gym.

Trailing 28-38 after the first half of play, PHS team B made their comeback in the third as they outran EHS with a 19-9 run to tied the game at 47-all. Then PHS team B showed their closing game punch as they outscored EHS with a 24-10 output in the fourth that game them the win.

Moses Tellames led the charge for PHS team B with 18 as teammate Hayden Mluut chipping in 15 while Austein Ngiraked topscored for EHS with 19 on the losing end.

On the other hand, defending champion PHS team A Spiders are still playing against Palau Mission Academy (PMA) Warriors for the championship crown as of this writing.

PMA Warriors entered the finals after beating Palau High School (PHS) team B Gray, 90-39 Wednesday while PHS team A Spiders barged their way into the finals after their 92-61 win over EHS Thursday afternoon.

A total of five teams are seeing action in the tournament namely Palau High School teams A and B, Emmaus High School and Palau Mission Academy.
