Meda Boyz continues to roll in IP&E ABL

Team Medalaii Meda Boyz continued their winning ways this time beating the Ikelauans, 105-65, Friday night in the ongoing IP&E Amateur Basketball League (ABL) at the Palau National gym.

Meda Boyz meant business as they established a 29-18 lead in the first quarter and then closed the first half with a 50-30 lead. From there Meda Boyz held on as they controlled the tempo of the match that went their favor as they scored the win.

Rraem Termeteet led the scoring chores for Meda Boyz with 16 as teammates Sione Isechal, Joshua Kloulubak, Cody Rorer and Jose Meltel clipped 14, 13, 12, and 10 points respectively.

Wade Rdechor topscored for the Ikelauans with 19 as teammates Jacy Kuartei and Eluut Isaac chipped in identical 13 markers on the losing end.

In other games, Ngiwal 79ers beat Idid 4x4 Wheelers, 82-77; Surangel Kings won over Meyuns Red Storm, 88-55; and Papago Smooth cruised past Hanpa Cardinals, 104-102.

Games resume tonight with Ngerkesoal Styx versus Ngaraard Red Torch at 6 p.m. as PCC Mesekiu will meet Neco Marine Stingers at 7:30 p.m. while Ngermid Rivals will face Surangel Kings at 9 p.m.

Wednesday night matches will have Ngiwal 79ers against Raw Surf at 6 p.m. while Ididers will test Meyuns Red Storm at 7:30 p.m. as the Breakers will face Lawmen PEAC at 9 p.m.

Thursday night matches will feature Ngarchelong Blue Sharks taking on Ngermid Rivals at 6 p.m. followed by the Matakui-PCC Mesekiu match at 7:30 p.m. while Hanpa Cardinals will take on Ngerkesoal Styx in the night cap at 9 p.m.

Teams are reminded to use their uniform in every game. The jersey/t-shirts should match with the shorts and their numbers. Teams will be charged $25 for failure to comply and will be defaulted.

Teams this season, teams are divided into two pools. Pool A will have Papago Smooth, Ngarchelong Blue Shark, Ngaraard Red Torch, Hanpa Cardinals, Surangel Kings, Meyuns Red Storm, Melngoes, Ranchers, Ididers and Ngermid Rivals. Pool B will be composed of MEDA Boys, Matakui, Idid 4x4 Wheelers, Ikelauans, Stingers, Lawmen PEAC, Raw Surf, Breakers, Airwaves and PCC Mesekiu.
