Rangers, Choppers take on opponents in FBL Sunday

Royal Cargo Rangers and Aloha Maid Choppers will try to improve their standings as they take on separate opponents, Sunday in the resumption of the Filipino Basketball League (FBL) at the Palau National gym.

Sporting a 4-2 win-loss record, the Royal Cargo Rangers aim to improve their chances going into the playoffs as they will face the Surangel Stars (3-2) at 2 p.m. Set to lead the Rangers are Nico Hinoza, Jay and Jomar Naguit, Ronald Mamuyac, Mike Guevarra, Emerson Patenia and Jayson Tabuyo.

The Stars will then rely on the team of Arnold Undecimo, Melvin Parrinas, brothers Ronald and Leo Magcalas, Dines Demate, Ador Hilvano, Rex de Asis and Bong Gayongorza.

On the other hand, riding a 5-1 win-loss card and their best start ever in the league, the Aloha Maid Choppers face a tough assignment as they will take on the Ilocandia Bulls in the opening salvo at 11 a.m.

Aloha Maid Choppers, sponsored by Shimbros International, aims to stretch their winning streak as they will have Arvin Parmo, Mark Louie Lofranco, Arvin Tacder, JR Grapa, JR Gonzales, Nelson Dupalco, Jelson Talavera, Jojo Cervantes, Rey Pototo and Jun Mahor.

The Bulls (3-2) will try to spoil the Choppers’ game as they will be led by the troika of Marvic Ngchar, RB Dorado and Edward Baysa. They will be backed by Joeger Supnet, Ryan Cacho, Dondon Cabasal, Jun Villena and Edmund Barayuga.

In other games, the Jaguars will meet the Liquid Skyy Dragons at 12:30 p.m. while PNQ Crushers will face the Rams in the main game at 3:30 p.m.
