PRR Dragons burns down Surangel Kings in Rudmich GBL

Tournament dark horse Palau Royal Resort (PRR) Dragons showed determination as they scored a hug upset beating Surangel Kings, 96-75 Tuesday night in the quarterfinals of the Season Finals of the 2013 season of the Rudimch Enterprise Government/Business League played at the Palau National gym.

The Dragons were on fire from the start as they established a 21-10 lead and the increased it at the end of the first half via 47-32. From there, the Dragons dictated the tempo as they prevented any Surangel Kings comeback.

Roger Santos led the scoring chores for the Dragons with 22 as Robinson Richard and Lito added 21 and 16, respectively. Arnold Undecimo, on the other hand, topscored for Surangel Kings with 34 as teammate Kent Moore chipped in 23 on the losing end.

With the win, PPR Dragons advances to the Final Four and will take on Government division champions MOJ Lawmen in the semifinal round which is being played as of this writing.

In other games, Business division champs Neco defeated WCTC Powerball behind the 19 point performance of Traxx Mark; MOF Omsangel beat Sam’s Sharks, 73-72; and MOJ Lawmen won over PPR Shark Attack, 101-94.

The other Final Four match will feature team Neco against MOF Omsangel. Winners will collide for the best of three championship series which will have Game One on November 25 at 7:30 p.m. while the losers will battle for third place also on the same date at 6 p.m.
