Teams Palau Mission Academy (PMA) Lady Warriors and Bethania High School (BHS) Stellars scored separate victories against rivals in the 2013 Inter-School League basketball tournament.

The PMA Lady Warriors used their fourth quarter run as they defeated Belau Modekngei School (BMS), 23-22.

With the score tied at 18-all going into the final canto, the Lady Warriors outscored their rivals with a 14-4 run to score the win behind the 13 point performance of Chantal Williams while Natasha Oiterong tallied 10 baskets for BMS on the losing end.

On the other hand, BHS Stellars managed to escaped a 26-24 win over Palau High School team B. Lucy Aguon muscled her way inside the paint as she scored 18 baskets while Kayoko Ellis topscored for PHS team B with 8 markers.

In other games, PHA team A bested PHS team B, 50-19.

Games will resume today with PHS team A versus BHS, 4 p.m. at the PHS gym while BMS will meet PHS team B also at 4 p.m. at the Palau National gym.

Tomorrow’s matches will feature BHS taking on PMA, 4 p.m. at the Palau National gym while PHS team A will test BMS also at 4 p.m. at the PHS gym.

A total of six teams are seeing action in the tournament namely Palau High School teams A and B, Bethania High School (BHS), Mindszenty High School (MHS), Palau Mission Academy (PMA) and Belau Modekngei School (BMS).
