Island Rhythm drubs team ABC in Rudimch GBL

Balance offense led Island Rhythm to trump over team ABC, 82-46 Wednesday night in the ongoing 2013 season of the Rudimch Enterprise Government/Business League at the Palau National gym.

After taking a 23-15 lead in the opening quarter, Island Rhythm used its defense and solid offensive prowess to anchor an 18-8 run to close the half with a 41-23 advantage. From there, Island Rhythm continued their rampage as they went on to take the win.

Anthony and Sean Rudimch topscored for Island Rhythm as they tallied identical 21 points, respectively while Ziske Asanuma was the only player of team ABC to finish the game in double digits with 14 on the losing end.

On the other hand, WCTC went on a roll as they dumped PPR Stingrays, 111-83. After the score was tied at 18-all in the first quarter, WCTC responded with a 37-26 run in the second to close the first half with a 55-44 lead.

Then it s was all WCTC going into the final buzzer that gave them another win with Michael Bombita and Coco Gonzales leading the way with identical 20 markers and teammate Dedoch Kloulubak chipping in 18 while Able carried the load for the Stingrays with 36 on the losing end.

In other games, MOJ Lawmen won over Hanpa Cardinals, 92-82; PNCC Molekoi beat PPUC Electric Eel, 100-66; and MOJ Lawmen downed President’s X-Men, 93-80.

Games will resume tonight with PPUC Electric Eel versus MOE Spiders at 6 p.m. followed by the KSG Royals-President’s X-Men tussle at 7:30 p.m. while PPR Shark Attack will face WCTC at 9 p.m.

Monday night games will feature Galaxy Builders will meet Mason’s Hardware at 6 p.m. as MOF Omsangel will take on Team ABC at 7:30 p.m. while Neco will be pitted against Surangel Kings in the night cap at 9 p.m.
