MOJ Lawmen, team Neco score wins in Rudimch GBL
Teams Ministry of Justice (MOJ) Lawmen and Neco continued their winning run after beating respective rivals, Wednesday night in the ongoing 2013 season of the Rudimch Enterprise Government/Business League at the Palau National gym.
After taking a 22-16 lead in the opening quarter, MOJ Lawmen spurted a 32-24 output to close down the half at 54-40. From there, they never looked back as they went on to dispose of PPUC Electric Eel, 100-73.
Bise Demei led the charge for the MOJ Lawmen with 35 points as Sharween topscored for PPUC Electric Eel with 24 on the losing end.
On the other hand, team Neco continues its winning streak as they scored another victory at the expense of Mason’s Hardware, 102-83. It was a come from behind victory after Neco was down in the opening quarter via 19-32.
Neco showed signs of life in the second quarter as they spurted a 31-9 output to grab the lead at 50-41. From there, Neco held on to their lead as they muscled their way to score the win as Bon-Bon Pramo topscored with 31 markers as teammate Nico Hinoza tallied 26 while Melvin Parrinas led the scoring chores for Mason’s Hardware with 25 as teammate Arnel Skibang chipped in 21 on the losing end.
In other games, Surangel Kings beat Galaxy Builders, 100-80; PNCC Molekoi won over Island Rhythm, 93-73; MOH Band Aid downed team ABC, 56-50; Sam’s Sharks outscored WCTC, 83-80; Fish N’ Fins defeated PPR Stingrays, 72-70; and President’s X-Men outscored MOF Omsangel, 80-66.
Games resume tonight with PNCC Molekoi versus Hanpa Cardinals at 6 p.m. followed by the RTRMI Crushers-Fish N’ Fins tussle at 7:30 p.m. while PPR Stingrays will face Sam’s Sharks at 9 p.m.
Monday night matches will feature Island Rhythm against MOH Band Aid at 6 p.m. as team ABC will meet President’s X-Men at 7:30 p.m. while WCTC will take on Mason’s Hardware at 9 p.m.
