PRA Choppers oust Liquid Skyy in FBL

Team PRA Choppers leaned on its second and third quarter onslaught to beat Liquid Skyy, 109-84 Sunday in the 2013 season of the Filipino Basketball League, Sunday at the Palau National gym.

Down 25-15 in the first quarter, PRA Choppers outscored Liquid Skyy in the second with a 26-15 run to take a 40-41 lead at the end of the first half. Then, the Choppers took a 29-27 lead in the third to make 70-67.

But the Choppers were not yet finished. They drubbed Liquid Skyy in the final canto with a 39-17 run to close the game with the win. Bon-Bon Pramo led the scoring chores for the Choppers with 30 points as Dodong Talavera and JR Grapa chipped in 20 and 14, respectively as they close their elimination run with a 3-7 win-loss tally.

On the other hand, Kim Agsalud and Boy Romero tallied identical 10 markers as they topscored for Liquid Skyy as they bow out of the tournament with a 0-9 card in the team standings.

In other games, FR Spoilers beat Hanpa Cardinals, 91-76; RP Rangers defeated PNQ Rams, 85-65; and Ilocandia Bulls halts the Jaguars, 95-68.

Games will resume on June 16 with Surangel Stars versus RP Rangers at 11 a.m. followed by the Jr. Nationals against Liquid Skyy at 12:30 p.m. as FR Spoilers will test the Ilocandia Bulls at 2 p.m. while Western union will meet Hanpa Cardinals in the main game at 3:30 p.m.

Games are supervised by the Palau Basketball Federation (PBF). This year’s FBL League is supported by ATT Bar and Restaurant, HE Automotive, Palasia Hotel, Palau Royal Resort, Surangel and Sons Company, FR Construction, Engrs.
