Peched Raw nails second win in IP&E NBL 2013

Last season’s runner up Peched Raw took its second straight win at the expense of Ngermid Rivals, 115-62 Friday night in the ongoing 2013 season of the Shell IP&E National Basketball League (NBL) played at the Palau National gym.

Peched Raw established a 22-12 lead at the end of the opening quarter Peched Raw showed its dominance as they spurted a 36-19 output to close the first half with a 58-31 advantage.

With no resistance from the Rivals, Peched Raw sailed smoothly to score their second win with six of its players finishing in double digits. King Ngiraboi paced Peched Raw with 28 point as teammates Sunshine Soalablai, Perry Oiterong and Amando Fichmai tallied identical 14 markers, respectively. Sealing the deal for Pecher Raw were Douglas Schmidt and Traxx Mark which had 12 and 10 baskets.

On the other hand, Ngermid Rivals falls early in the depth of the team standings as they suffered their second set back as Elway Ngiraboi leading the way with 20 and Uchelas Yobech chipped in 10.

In other games, Breakers won over Idid Airwaves, 64-55; Medalaii Stingers bested 4x4 Wheelers, 66-51 and FR Spoilers defeated the Nationals 19 and Under, 20-0.

Games resume tonight with Medalaii Stingers versus Ksau Imaging Solutions at 6 p.m. while Ngermid Rivals will meet WCC Hammers at 7:30 p.m. Tomorrow night’s matches will feature 4x4 Wheelers against Breakers at 6 p.m. as Idid Airwaves will face PCC Mesekiu at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday night games will have Nationals 19 and Under taking on Ngermid Rivals at 6 p.m. while PCC Mesekiu will battle Ksau Imaging Solutions at 7:30 p.m.
