MES beats KES for 1st win in EASC Central School boys bball

Team Meyuns Elementary School (MES) showed dominance as they went on to beat Koror Elementary School (KES), 48-22 to take their first win Wednesday in the ongoing 2013 Elementary After School Competition (EASC) Central School boys basketball tournament at the Palau National gym.

After taking a 15-10 lead, MES went all the way to take an 8-4 run to close the half with a 23-14 advantage. From there, they never looked back as they sealed the win with Peace leading the pack with 23 points as Patrick Rodas finished for KES with 12 markers on the losing end.

With the win, MES joins Seventh Day Adventist Elementary School and George B. Harris Elementary School in the winning column with identical 1-0 win-loss card while KES suffered its second setback for a 0-2 card.

In other games, GBH beat MSS, 78-18; and SDA drubbed KES, 50-18.

Games resume today with GBH versus KES at the Palau National gym while MES will face SDA at the SDA gym. Games will start at 3:30 p.m.

Competing schools include Seventh Day Adventist Elementary School; Koror Elementary School; Maris Stella School; George B. Harris Elementary School and Meyuns Elementary School.
