Four games set for FBL 2013 season

Four games are set to be featured this Sunday in the resumption of the 2013 season of the Filipino Basketball League at the Palau National gym.

The Ilocandia Bulls aim to get a good start for this year when the face the Rams in the opener at 11 a.m. The Bulls will bank on the duo of Raul Osias and Joeger Supnet while the Rams will rely on Jake Mahor, Freddie Goria, Ronald Reyes, John Llyod Corpuz and Boyet Arevalo.

In other matches, guest team Nationals will test the PRA Choppers at 12:30 p.m. The Nationals will parade Marvic Ngchar, RB Dorado and Edward Baysa while the PRA Choppers will have roster compose of Reynaldo Potot, Janine Carandang, Julivic Munion, Nelson Dupalco, Jojo Servantes, Bon-Bon Pramo, Erwin Gonzalgo, Eric Dedeles, JR Gonzales, RJ Grapa and Anthony Brusula.

In the third game, Surangel Stars mentored by Eric Manio will face the Jaguars coached by Jun Ponting at 2 p.m. Surangel Stars will again rely on Arnold Undecimo, Bong Gayongorza, Melvin Parrinas, Ryan Tayag, Sib Reyes, Sunny dela Cruz and Dennis Demate while the Jaguar, sponsored by Office of the President, Vann Isaac; His Excellency President Tommy Remengesau Jr.; Leon Remengesau of Div. of Marine Law; Robert Scaria of the The Taj Palau; Melissa Ueda of SPACO Finance; Jhun Claroniño of Budget Mart II; Lito Hilario of HBO and SHIMBROS International, will have its core compose of Morries Apresto, Edgar Pabro, Norbert Nova, Delmar Mondragon, Ernie Bautista, Oliver Joda, Roy Atacador, Bong Montel, J.R Villanueva, Dave Peralta, Sirobar Roldan, Dandreb Vargas, Marck Gañac, Renato Ogana, Arnold Villegas and Renato Cayetano.
 
In the main game the FR Spoilers will try to rebound from their stunning loss last weekend as they meet Liquid Sky at 3:30 p.m.

A total of 10 teams are set to see action this year namely defending champion FR Spoilers, Rangers, Surangel and Sons, Ilocandia Bulls, PRA Choppers, Hanpa Cardinals, Rams, Western Union, Jaguars and newcomer Liquid Sky with Nationals 19 and under squad as guest team.

Games are supervised by the Palau Basketball Federation (PBF). This year’s FBL League is supported by ATT Bar and Restaurant, HE Automotive, Palasia Hotel, Palau Royal Resort, FR Construction, Engrs.
