FBL meeting on Sunday

Team managers, coaches and representatives are reminded that there will be a meeting for interested teams that will comprise this year’s Filipino Basketball League season.

The meeting will be held Sunday, 2 p.m. at the Bethlehem Park and will be supervised by FBL chairman Alexander Gatchalian. Gatchalian, who is a professor in agriculture at the Palau Community College (PCC), was formally introduced by officials from the defending champion FR Spoilers to the team managers, coaches and representatives during their meeting.

Gatchalian will lead the officers for this year’s season of the FBL, which is tentative to tip off on March 10 at the Palau National gym. He will be joined by Engr. Lovella Barido as vice chair, Robby Lim as treasurer and Marchelle Dancel as secretary.

Comprising the members of the committee are Franklyn Merico, Reynaldo Carbonel, Boie Castaneda, Rey Fortas, Judian Gahaton, Arsie Sumampong and Bhoey Gopez with Jun dela Cruz, Bobbie Pineda and Ben Asuncion as advisers.

It was also agreed upon that interested teams for this year’s season have until Sunday to submit their team line up and $100 initial fee. Aside from the submission of team line up, team managers, coaches and representatives will convene to amend some provisions on the guidelines and bylaws of the league.
