Team Money scores third win in WNBL

Team Money showed its defensive prowess as they pass by Smooth Riders, 71-52 Wednesday night in the ongoing 2012 IP&E Women’s National Basketball League played at the Palau National gym.

Team Money made its move in the second canto as they spurted a 23-14 output to secure the first half with a 39-26 advantage. From there team Money kept Smooth Riders at bay as they went for the win.

Tara Tamakong led the scoring fray for team Money with 28 baskets as they stay clean in the team standings with a 3-0 win-loss tally while Sim Tellei topscored for Smooth Riders with 16 as they slipped to 1-1.

In other games, Kyrptonite bested Peched Reds, 61-49; and Smooth Riders escaped a 50-48 win over Underdawgs.

Games will resume on May 7 with Underdawgs against Peched Reds at 6 p.m. while Money will square off against Kryptonite on May 8 at 7:30 p.m.
