WU, Rangers meet foes in FBL Sunday

Runner-up Western Union and MJ Rangers tries to improve their standings when they face separate foes, Sunday in the resumption of the 2012 season of the Filipino Basketball League at the Palau National gym.

Western Union (1-0) will try to score their second win when they face Surangel and Sons (1-1) at 12:30 p.m. Set to pace Western Union are Emerson Patenia, Erwin Senadre, Dennis Castro, Jun Ponting and RJ Jusay while Surangel and Sons will try to bounce back from their lost last week as they will be led by Arnold Undecimo, Norbert Nova, Gener Aguinaldo, Ador Hilvano, Edzel Torres and playing coach Eric Manio.

On the other hand, MJ Rangers (1-1) aims to score their second win as they meet the Ilocandia Bulls (1-1) in the main game at 3:30 p.m. MJ Rangers will rely on the team of Jay and Joemar Naguit, Nico Hinoza, Ronald Mamuyac and veteran skipper Jimmy Domingo as the Bulls will again bank on the performances of Raul Osias, Jason Tabuyo, Joeger Supnet and Jun Villena.

In other games, Hanpa Cardinals takes on team Jaguars in the curtain raiser at 11 a.m. while FR Spoilers faces Ocean View/PCGM in the Master’s League at 2 p.m.
