Team Spoilers and 4x4 Wheelers enter the Elite 8 after beating separate opponents in the Sweet 16 in the ongoing playoffs of the 2012 season of the IP&E Amateur Basketball League (ABL) at the Palau National gym.

The Spoilers showed might as they won over the Ikelauans, 86-81. After posting a 44-33 lead after the first half, the Spoilers held on to win the game and prevent a possible Ikelauans comeback. Michael Bombita topscored for the Spoilers with 19 points while Wade Redechor had 25 for the Ikelauans on the losing end.

On the other hand, 4x4 Wheelers also earned a spot in the Elite 8 as they defeated the Cardinals, 69-63 with Sunshine Soalablai leading the pace with 15 and Temol Malsol adding 13.

In other games, Aqua Smooth won over B.O.G., 71-38; Kabong defeated Mesang Red Storm, 74-71; Ngerkesoaol bested Nationals, 116-109; Breakers routed PCC Mesekiu, 72-68; Stingers down Airwaves, 81-74; and Surangel Kings outpaced Ngermid Rivals, 95-77.

Games tonight will have Aqua Smooth versus Breakers at 6 p.m. followed by the Spoilers-Stingers tussle at 7:30 p.m. while 4x4 Wheelers will face Surangel Kings in the main game at 9 p.m.

Winners of the Elite 8 group and will play a knockout game to determine the Final Four. In the Final Four, teams will play a best of three series with the winners going into the championship round while the losers will play for third place honors.
