Ikelauans, Red Storm route foes in IP&E ABL

Team Ikelauans and Mesang Red Storm both scored come from behind victories after routing separate rivals, Wednesday night, in the ongoing 2012 season of the IP&E Amateur Basketball League (ABL) at the Palau National gym.

After being down 20-14, Ikelauans managed to outscore Ididers and went to win the game via 74-63 count. The Ikelauans mastered a comeback in the second quarter as they tallied a 22-10 output as against the Ididers to close the first half grabbing the lead at 36-30.

Then, the Ikelauans went pushed on their assault mode as they went all they way to win the game with Wade Rdechor leading the way with 29 points while Udui Floriano tallied 12 baskets for the Ididers on the losing end.

On the other hand, Mesang Red Storm also scored a come from behind victory at the expense of Dngeronger Bullets, 75-66. Trailing 14-10 after the opening quarter, Mesang Red Storm unleashed its shooting prowess as they outscored the Bullets with a 25-15 output in the second canto to establish a 35-29 lead.

From there, Mesang Red Storm went all the way for the win with Turs Elis leading the pace with 17 points while Anthony Iskawa tallied 24 for the Bullets on the losing end.

In other games, Spoilers won over the Breakers, 74-60; B.O.G. defeated Airwaves, 68-42; 4x4 Wheelers downed Kabong, 81-68; Spoilers outscored Mesang Red Storm, 83-66; Nationals beat the Breakers, 74-58; Bullets passed Ididers, 55-51; and Aqua Smooth routed Stingers, 88-60.

Team coaches and representatives are reminded that there will be a meeting today 11:30 a.m. at the Palau National gym.
