Business division champion Mason’s Hardware showed guts as they beat Government division champion Ministry of Finance (MOF) Omsangel, 93-76 in Game One of their best of three finals series for the Season finals of the 2011 season of the Rudimch Enterprise Government/Business League at the Palau National gym.

After taking a 28-14 lead in the first quarter, Mason’s Hardware got a scare as MOF Omsangel surged with a 20-14 run of their own to bridge the gap at 42-34 at the end of the first half.

Mason’s Hardware came in the third canto with their offensive line as they made a 30-20 run to further widen their lead at 72-54 and from there they never looked back as they went all the way for the win and scored the first lost ever for MOF Omsangel in the tournament.

Reid Una Rikrik and Mesikt Benjamin led the scoring chores for Mason’s Hardware with identical 26 points, respectively as they take a commanding 1-0 lead in their series while John Stills and Weston paced MOF Omsangel with 23 and 21 markers on the losing end.

Game Two of the series is playing as of this writing while a possible Game Three will be set tomorrow night.

On the other hand, Michael Bombita had another stellar performance as he led FR Spoilers past Fish and Fins Hunters to claim the third place honors.
