WOMEN COACHES APPOINTED TO NATIONAL POSITIONS
Basketball Palau has a goal to be able to appoint women to coach the various National Women’s Squads during the next few years and with the playing experience of both Happy and Jaime we are off to an excellent start.
Coach Happy was an assistant coach with the National Women’s Squad this past year and gained valuable experience in that role. Happy completed her Level 1 Coach accreditation through the year.
Coach Jaime has had a long experience in the National Team and brings good knowledge to the position. As well as filling the roles for the 15 Years and Under Squad which will prepare for the Micronesian 15 Years Basketball Tournament (M15BT) to be held in Palau in June 2011, both women will also fill the coaching positions for the National 17 Years and Under Women’s Squad to compete in the M17BT in 2012.
We look forward to developing the coaching knowledge of both Happy and Jaime and also other former players to be able to coach our National Women’s Team at the next Micronesian Games in 2014.
