WESTERN UNION WIN SECOND GAME IN FBL FINAL SERIES
Rangers won the first quarter in yesterday’game but that was all as Western Union went to their big gun scorers to comfortably win the next 3 quarters. With the score at 31-33 at half time Rangers thought they were in with a chance, but with Western Union doubling the second half score of their opponents it ended in an easy win for the reining champions.
Rangers’ big men in Jay Naguit and his younger brother Jomar were held to low scores of 8 points each unlike game 1 where they dominated. For the “black and gold” of Western Union they went to their reliable scorers in Bong Alambra (20), Jun Bautista (18) and Emerson Patenia (13) to dominate the score sheet.
For Rangers, R Fernadez (14) and N Hinosa (10) were their main contributors. With such a convincing win it would seem that Western Union will go into the final game as favorites to win back to back championships.
