The game started slowly but GBH got going after 5 minutes to take a handy lead by the end of quarter one.  Not to be outdone, MEH came out strong to catch up and scores were tied by half time at 16 all.  There was no doubt that GBH had the loudest cheer squad and at times the noise in the gym was almost deafening.

The coaches did a good job at having their charges play basketball at both ends of the floor and the defence was very aggressive for such young and inexperienced players.   The offence was equally as good with players moving to spaces top get open and rebounding was not for the faint hearted inside.

SDA Elementary School gained 3rd place in this year’s league with very tight win 38-37.

Local ABL coach, Jonathan Kominsky commented following the games that the future of women’s basketball in Palau looked good with such young talent on show.
