ON TRACK

High knees, butt kicks, heel –toe, toes up, high knees and leg push-out have all been new terms to the players but  now they know what they mean and the reason that athletes use these every sessions to improve their length of stride and performance.

Some 20 minutes each day has been dedicated to this most important aspect of their training and the players are starting to respond. 

Following this part of the session the players are then taken through 10 minutes of Fartlek work.  Boot Camp was designed to teach the players about pushing through the pain barrier and challenging themselves to work harder,  and this is also evident.

Leon will attend the sessions during this next week to ensure all players understand the drills.  These drills will be used as warm-up drills for all fitness sessions from now on.
