As a follow up from our previous communications on Wednesday 11 March and Friday 13 March we would like to issue some further information regarding COVID-19 (otherwise known as “coronavirus”).
Effective from Monday 16 March, Basketball Tasmania has made the decision to suspend BTAS related events and leagues until further notice. These include the upcoming Pre-Season Grading Tournaments, Tri-Series Round 2, TJBL – Southern and Northern Conferences.
BTAS recommends that all association, affiliate and club activities also suspend events and leagues at this present time and will consult further in this regard.
The BTAS Board came together this weekend to discuss this difficult period. It is a rapidly evolving situation and we would like to thank everyone for their understanding and patience as we work through this together.
We will continue to work with the government and health authorities to ensure the wellbeing of our members and participants. Further updates will be provided as they come to hand.

we also use the following courts to cover our overflow;

Newstead College - 30 Cypress St, Newstead, TAS 7250
