What a massive and huge achievement for not only our club but Softball as a whole.
Yesterday, our amazing club was extremely lucky to be presented with a prize from Canberra Milk for $5000 as the club with the most votes for their CBR sports awards People Choice Sporting Champion.
I could not be prouder to be apart of this club, the heartache of going from one Canberra’s biggest clubs to struggling to field teams across the park to now over the past 4 years the joy and excitement of re growing our club, bringing softball back into our community and getting more and more juniors excited about softball through junior development.
We have worked extremely hard to try and ignite the love and growth our sport focusing on the grass roots level and to be awarded this prize yesterday will be a huge boost for us to be able to continue to grow and develop our players, provide much needed safety equipment and equipment for our junior teams and clinics.
I am lost and still lost for words as to how much this means to our club, this prize not only lifts the profile of South Tuggeranong Softball but softball across Canberra which is a massive win itself.
