Hosted at Werribee, Northern Districts, and Frankston, the Softball Victoria State Championships will once again see the best of the Under 15, Under 17, Under 19 and Open Victorian teams come together to compete for the title of State Champions.

For the first time in Softball Victoria history, the Under 15 and Under 19 competitions will be hosted at the same event, with both Softball Victoria State Championships taking place at Werribee on the 23rd and 24th of February 2018.

Northern Districts will be hosting the prestigious Open State Championships on the 9th and 10th of March, 2019, with the Under 17 competition taking place in Frankston on the 30th and 31st of March.

Softball Victoria CEO, Nick Frayne, said that he is looking forward to another fantastic Softball Victoria State Championships season.

“The Softball Victoria State Championships are the pinnacle of softball in Victoria; every year the level of competition steps it up another notch and I’m sure 2019 won’t be any different,” Frayne said.

“The Under 15 and Under 19 competitions in Werribee will, of course, be a great opportunity for some of the emerging Victorian junior talent to come together and compete in the spirit of softball all in the one location.”

As well as being the height of softball in Victoria, the Softball Victoria State Championships are also one of the primary opportunities for talent identification for State team representation, providing a platform for athletes to put their skills on display for selection.

“As we’ve seen in previous years, there’s a growing level of talent in Victorian softball and no doubt that will be on display once again across the three State Championship weekends,” Frayne said.
