Congratulations to Phillipa Danks (1st), Jarvis Harrop (2nd) and Ed Warner (3rd). Well done to all the minnow sailors, it was great to see such strong numbers with minnows being the 2nd largest fleet behind only the Optimists. The coaching clinic held form Tuesday to Thursday was a great success, thanks to Paul Rogers and Gordon Hyde for doing a great job with the kids. Lots of brand new open sailors attended the clinic which was great to see.
It was a week of extremes with the first two days of coaching featuring big winds and bigger waves, and then day 3 of coaching very light winds and flat seas. It was similair for the weekend regatta with light winds on Saturday before the wind and waves returned overnight. In the end Phillipa best mastered the extremes, sailed superbly both days and won convincingly. Full Results.
