• Pennant Hills Junior AFC from U9 to U17
• First played with PHAFC in 1995 – played 11 under 19 games
• very few U17 games as he was taken up to the senior club and debuted in 1st Grade at age 16
• member of the inaugural NSW/ACT RAMS team in 1996
• Won Ken McRae Shield – Best First Year Player in 1996
• Vice Captain of the RAMS in 1997
• represented NSW in the U18 National Championships in 1997
• 1998 with the Sydney Swans on their rookie list
• returned to Pennant Hills Seniors 1999-2001; Vice Captain of the premiership winning team in 2000
• Rod Podbury medalist in victorious 2000 Grand Final
• Pennant Hills club B&F (Ern Holmes Trophy) 1999 and 2000
• Won Footballer of Year Award in 2000 and 2001
• Vice captain in 2001
• invited to pre-season with Melbourne AFC in 2002
• 2002 & 2003 with VFL side Sandringham
• Sandringham Reserves B&F winner in 2003
• returned to Pennant Hills in 2004 and 2005 (until accident mid year that resulted in the stroke)
• Pennant Hills Captain in 2004 and 2005
• represented NSW in the National Country Championships in WA in 2004
• captained Sydney AFL Rep side to a victory over Riverina in 2005 (as a side note, this was the last game he played prior to the stroke. He was attacked on the Thurs night prior, played the rep game on that weekend, then collapsed after training the following Thursday by which time the blood clot had set and blocked the artery in his brain)
• Barnaby, incredibly, was runner-up three times in the Phelan Medal, and though he suffered his stroke in June, 2005 he was second to Dean Davies of North Shore that year.
• He tied second in 1999 and finished outright second in 2001.
• Was Awarded Life Membership for Service to the Club in 2008
• Played his 100th game on 6th July 2013.
Also played numerous Sydney SFL Representative games and was captain on a number of occasions
Played with Sydney Swans and also Sandringham in Melbourne
