Very soon the 8th Micronesian tournament will launch its Live Stats coverage of the basketball out at the COM National Gym. Local statisticians have been capturing the data for each match and soon these will be available to watch play by play and saved to view online. This software solution is how a large number of National Basketball Leagues including Australia and New Zealand cover they major games. Fiba Live stats will be on show and every statistic that  is captured in every match by courtside software at the games will be avaiable for view from the Microgames basketball website www.oceaniasport.com/fsm/2014microgames/basketball.

The large crowds at the basketball courts each night, particularly in the evenings, are evidence that we are in for a treat as both the standard of play and the capturing of the event online are to merge as one.

This would not have been possible without the dedication of voluteers like Nefertti David who is so excited to be learning a new skill whilst sitting in the best seat in the house. She was proud to tell me how she was able to use her reord of the game to solve a dispute over a timeout.
