Guam started with a stable lead of 5-2 in the second inning. By the third innning Guam came in with another 3 scores, while CNMI remained with 2.
CNMI made many attempts to catch up in the later innings, but Guam's defense was too strong.
In the eighth inning, CNMI managed to put in 3 scores. Unfortunately for CNMI, Guam scored 4 more runs in the next inning, making it harder for CNMI to catch up.
After a group huddle in the 9th inning, Guam came onto the field with less than an hour giving CNMI three straight outs, leaving CNMI with no score.
CNMI put up a valiant fight, but in the end Guam took the gold with a score of 14-6.
