Football Hall of Fame WA to get a new look

THE Football Hall of Fame WA will unveil a New Logo...launch a new Association...and make presentations to three of the record-achieving Greats of the Game at a special function at Dorrien Gardens on November 15.
Many of the Hall of Fame's Legends and Inductees will attend the event which will also attract some of West Australia's most celebrated football identities - and the WA football family has the opportunity to be part of what promises to be a memorable affair.
Tickets cost $50, which includes food and drink, and can be purchased by contacting the Hall of Fame Committee Secretary Penelope Hoath by email at: admin@footballhalloffamewa.com.au
Don't delay. Tickets are going fast and must be confirmed by November 7.
The Football Hall of Fame WA was founded in 1996 and, in its 23 years, the Committee has worked tirelessly to preserve the history of the game and honour the great players, coaches, referees, administrators and others who have contributed so much to WA football.
Six Induction ceremonies have been held since 1996 with 186 being welcomed into the various Halls (Champions, Merit, Recognition and Legends) in what was Australia's first football Hall of Fame, even beating the national body by several years in establishing a system to honour the greats of the game.
Other functions have also been staged by the Football Hall of Fame WA, including celebrating WA's 100 Best Players; marking the anniversaries of the WA men's and women's teams in Asia; mounting a week-long World Cup exhibition at Perth Town Hall; and hosting the Ashes football clash between WA and the visiting English media on five occasions.
The Football Hall of Fame WA was set up by then ruling body Soccer Administration of WA in 1996 to celebrate 100 years of football in WA and has been supported and endorsed by the State ruling bodies ever since. Football West fully endorses the organisation, which is a not-for-profit group.
