Gwelup aim for sixth-straight win

There is a rare weekend round in the NPLWA Men's league on Wednesday as unbeaten leaders Gwelup Croatia seek to strengthen their top-six claims before the competition split.
Gwelup travel to Cockburn City on the back of five straight wins.
The latest came on Saturday at Balcatta, when they rallied from 2-0 down to win 3-2. In their previous away match they also had to dig deep when finding a stoppage-time winner against Armadale for another 3-2 success.
Floreat Athena, in second, are at home to third-place Perth Glory, while Bayswater City, who have moved quietly into fourth, host ECU Joondalup.
ECU have lost their last three games since a 6-1 defeat of Sorrento, who in contrast have gone on to win two and draw one. Gulls striker Cameron Teece is the league's top scorer with nine goals following his second hat-trick of 2020 in Saturday's 4-2 defeat of Inglewood United.
Perth SC had a slow start to the campaign but a third consecutive victory tonight, against Armadale, will take them into the top six.
Last season's runners-up Inglewood, who have slipped to second bottom, are home to the one side below them, Rockingham City.
