NPL Women's Night Series: MUM beat Subiaco

Murdoch University Melville are well placed to reach the NPL Women’s Night Series semi-finals after their 3-1 win over Subiaco.
 
Sadie Lawrence gave MUM the lead in the first half at Dorrien Gardens. And although Abbey Licastro levelled for Subiaco, a second from Lawrence and a Grace Betti strike ensured MUM recorded their second successive win.
 
The result sees Subiaco slip to third in Group A on goal difference, with Northern Redbacks now second after their 4-1 win over Perth SC.

Larissa Walsh was the star for Redbacks with a hat-trick, while their other goal came from Georgia Cawley. Charlotte Hislop scored for the hosts, her second in as many weeks.
 
Fremantle City sit on top of Group B with a 100% start thanks to an impressive 3-0 defeat of Balcatta at Edinburgh Oval.
 
All of the goals came after the break. Substitute Courtney Butlion opened the scoring four minutes into the second half, Mikayla Lyons got the second and Isabelle Bridger made it three.
 
Hyundai NTC bounced back from their opening round loss to Freo with a 4-0 defeat of Curtin University.
 
Monique Prinsloo and Grace Monteiro scored in the opening half. Ella Lincoln then added a penalty and Monteiro grabbed her second two minutes from time.
