Good Knight for Balcatta

A quality free kick from Gavin Knight 10 minutes from time was enough for Balcatta to jump to third on the NPL WA table.

The only goal of the game came after Nicholas Challot drew a free kick from Reuben Tristao on the edge of the box, just to the left of the home goal.

Knight immediately took the ball and clipped it over the wall and inside the near post of Luke Radonich's goal.

It was a finish worthy of winning any game and it also did damage to Cockburn's hopes of a top-four finish. They are currently in eight spot, five points off Inglewood in fourth.

Balcatta should have been ahead in the 21st minute after they were awarded a penalty following a trip on Shubham Mokola. John Kearney took the spot-kick but he dragged his effort wide.
