Football West secures live stream deal

Football West News

Football West is excited to announce that we will live stream ALL senior and Under 20 matches from the National Premier Leagues WA competition until the end of the 2021 season.

The landmark deal will see Football West broadcast 12 matches each weekend throughout the NPL WA season on our Facebook and YouTube channels.

The Belt Up Cup Final and all of the NPL Top Four Cup matches will also be live streamed, while a highlights package from the previous weekend’s matches will also be available.

Football West Head of Member Services Alex Novatsis hailed the deal, which begins this weekend.

“The NPL WA is the elite competition in the State and we are excited that every match will be available for supporters to view, should they not be able to get to a venue,” he said.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase the cream of the WA game and for clubs to increase their presence with the sporting public.

“We have already been live streaming two first team and two Under 20 games each weekend and the feedback we have received has been terrific. People are very positive about the product on the field and the way it is being presented.”

The deal means there will be 120 more NPL WA senior and Under 20 matches broadcast live this season, and 264 games for both 2020 and 2021.

On the field Perth SC’s lead at the top of the NPL WA was reduced to seven points on the weekend after they were held 0-0 at ECU Joondalup in Round 12.

Floreat Athena replaced Perth Glory in second spot after they smashed their rivals 6-0, while there were also wins for Balcatta, Bayswater City, Cockburn City and Armadale.

The NPL WA takes a break this weekend because of the FFA Cup preliminary semi-finals.

Floreat host Sorrento on Saturday while Bayswater are at home to Rockingham City on Sunday. Both games kick off at 3pm.
