Ten-man Azzurri defeat Balcatta

Perth SC’s undefeated start to the season continues as they claimed a 2-0 victory over Balcatta at Grindleford Reserve on Saturday.
Both goals came in the first half for the league leaders and despite going down to 10 men in the second half, Perth controlled the game and put together a solid performance.
Rocco Pizzata received his second yellow card from referee Tom Glavovic in the 57th minute for dissent but the home side were unable to take advantage.
The defeat for Balcatta makes it four games without a win and their impressive form earlier in the season seems to be dwindling.
It took only three minutes for Perth’s Michael Domfeh to give his side the lead after he turned his marker on the edge of the box and fired into the bottom right-hand corner.
Gustavo Catarcione doubled Perth’s advantage in the 37th minute with an easy finish into an empty net.
Balcatta goalkeeper David Keenan came out of his box to clear a long ball and was challenged by Domfeh and the ball rebounded straight into the path of Catarcione who wasn’t going to waste such a fortunate chance.
The home side struggled to create many chances in the match and lacked penetration in the final third against a very strong Perth defence even after they were reduced to 10 men.
Balcatta will look to avoid making it five matches without a win next week against Sorrento while Perth face struggling Armadale at Dorrien Gardens.
