Stirling Lions stretched their winning run to three matches on Saturday as Forrestfield United slipped into the bottom three.

Alex Suleski struck after just four minutes before the hosts had multiple chances to extend their lead in a dominant first half.

They got their rewards in the second half, though, as David Micevski netted twice either side of Steve Sokol’s goal as Keegan Ashley's men ran out convincing 4-0 winners.

The win keeps Stirling in touch with the top four and Ashley was pleased with the way the team played.

“It was a dominant performance, “ he said.

“I think we could have had a few more if I’m honest, but we scored four goals and kept a clean sheet so I’m happy.

“The boys are working hard, they have things in sight and now we have to keep pushing ahead.

“We’re always trying to push through the young players. We like to move the ball quickly and get in behind the defence and the boys are really starting to do that and get their rewards.”

Stirling got off to the ideal start as Suleski leaped unmarked and planted a firm header past Luke Martino on four minutes.

It was one-way traffic as Dean Cummings drove one past the near post before Alex Tanevski cut inside from the flank and fired over.

Sokol nearly doubled the lead minutes before the break when he lifted the ball just over the bar with Martino off his line.

The home side needed only three minutes after the restart to double their lead as Micevski stepped up and superbly curled a free-kick into the top corner.

Two became three as Sokol broke the offside trap and ran clear of Forrestfield’s defence before rounding the goalkeeper and stroking into an empty net.

Tom Southgate saw a second yellow card as the visitors’ day went from bad to worse before Micevski tapped in from six yards to put the icing on a big win for Stirling, who are now unbeaten in four.
