Balcatta will face holders Fremantle City while Murdoch University Melville will take on Perth SC in the Women's NPL Night Series semi-finals this weekend.

With MUM FC and Fremantle already guaranteed to progress to the last four, it was all about who would finish top of Group A when they met at Wormall Civil Stadium last Friday. That honour went to Murdoch, who defeated Freo 2-0.

In the group's other match, Curtin University finished with a 3-1 win over Subiaco in a game which was forced to finish early becuase of floodlight failure late in the second half at Edinburgh Oval. Because the match had gone beyond half-time, the result will stand.

So all of the interest was in Group B, with four teams still in contention heading into the last round of group matches.

Leaders Balcatta tied up top spot after a 1-0 win over Hyundai NTC.

Then Perth SC joined them by clinching the runners-up berth with a 2-0 win over Redbacks.
