Season Preview: Joondalup United

Football West News

Joondalup United will aim to establish themselves in the PS4 NPLWA after rising through the ranks to reach WA’s top flight.

Coach Nick Jennings knows his team has the potential for success and thinks the key to his club having a good season will be through hard work.

Whether you are promoted or not, the first priority is to stabilise and stay up,” he said. “From there you are able to build and success will follow.  A decent cup run is overdue so we'll target that as well.”

Jennings said Joondalup had a number of players capable of shining in the top flight.

“Matt Sparrow and Jay Marsden in the middle of the park and James Bosdet our keeper will have crucial roles to play,” he said. Captain Arran Maplestone will also be a key to success.

“He remains calm under pressure and is respected by all his peers,” Jennings said.

Joondalup United will kick-off their campaign against local rivals ECU Joondalup at Percy Doyle Reserve on Monday.
