Brazilian striker Gustavo Catarcione scored the only goal of the game as Perth SC added The West Australian Top Four Cup to their recent league title with victory over Inglewood United.

The game had been finely balanced, although Inglewood had enjoyed more possession before Catarcione powered home a header in the 83rd minute.

Harley Orr had supplied the cross from the left and Catarcione muscled his way into the box to bury the opportunity.

Inglewood midfielder Jason Barrera’s tireless contribution was rewarded with the Gary Marocchi Medal - awarded to the man of the match.

It had been the third meeting of the teams in the past three weeks, Inglewood having won a league encounter before missing out on penalties in a Major Semi-Final against Perth.

Defeat had forced Inglewood into a midweek Preliminary Final against ECU Joondalup, which had required 120 minutes of effort and steely nerves in a penalty shoot-out.

But they did not allow fatigue to creep into the early stages of the Grand Final with Barrera providing spark in midfield and Brian Woodall’s muscle a threat up front.

Perth, though, found another gear late in the match and Catarcione produced a goal worthy of settling the final.

Earlier, Bayswater City proved too good for Armadale in the U20 Cup final with goals from David Stokoe and Luka Ninkovic - and an own goal - helping them to a 3-0 win.

Perth Glory claimed the U18 Cup with a 4-0 win over Stirling Lions. Adam Zimarino opened the scoring five minutes into the second half, Ethan Brooks doubled the advantage and Liam Murray and Abias Bukuru added gloss to the score.
