Pauline Pawsey has been appointed and announced as the first full-time Administration Manager of the Frankston & District Junior Football League (FDJFL). The position has been made possible through a partnership between AFL South East and the FDJFL and Pauline will begin her role on Wednesday March 18.
An experienced administrator, Pauline has had extensive experience through office management, business operations and executive assistant positions. She has worked within both large and small operations, necessitating strong communication or organisational skills.
Pauline has always been a willing volunteer wherever life (and children) have taken her. Her most recent voluntary role, one that she was required to relinquish to take on this position, was as Secretary of the Bonbeach YCW JFC (formerly Chelsea YCW JFC) since 2011. Over that same period, she has assisted with canteen management at Bonbeach and BBQ management at Chelsea Little Athletics Club.
Outside of sport, Pauline has been Chair of the Parents & Friends Association of her children’s school for 4 years, Treasurer of the local Kindergarten and occupied a number of voluntary roles over 8 years of involvement with a large musical society.
As can be seen, her professional and volunteer experience shone through when assessing the needs of a modern day junior football league.
In announcing the appointment, FDJFL President Stuart Mason said “Pauline has a great deal experience in and knowledge of the league and its member clubs. Together with her administrative background and experience, she will be a valuable asset to the league. Pauline will bring to the role a highly professional, organised and engaging approach. The FDJFL has grown to the level that professional administration is a must and we welcome Pauline to the role with great enthusiasm”.
As stated earlier, Pauline will commence in her role on Wednesday March 18 and, through AFL South East, will working closely with league administrators from across the region and will be based in the FDJFL’s offices at Kananook Reserve
