AFL South East presented its first annual report and 2 year strategic slan at the AGM held on December 9. Both documents are historic in their own right with the annual report providing a synopsis of activities over the past 12 months and the strategic plan providing the blueprint for the future.
The Strategic Plan has been a detailed process of analysis and assessment followed by discussion on the objectives requires. Seven (7) key strategic pillars constitute the plan, they being:
1) Participation - Initiate and support programs to increase player and umpire participation rates at all levels of football and netball in order to facilitate growth of the games.
2) Community - Support leagues, their clubs and schools to provide quality management and environments to motivate volunteers, coaches, teachers and sports trainers for all levels of football and netball.
3) Engagement - Develop stakeholder and community engagement initiatives that support the vision, values and mission statement of AFL South East while enhancing social value and equal opportunity for all.
4) Development - Provide and promote development programs including pathways for players, umpires, coaches and administrators.
5) Facilities - Develop region wide plans to advocate for and collaborate on facility development for leagues, clubs, umpires and schools.
6) Partnerships - Develop strong and mutually beneficial partnerships with businesses, government, other sports and community organisations.
7) People & Culture - Attract, develop and retain quality people and develop a culture of excellence in line with AFL South East's key objectives and values.
