Dylan Shiel's bounty of "super" goals on the weekend for GWS against St Kilda has earned his junior club Edithvale Aspendale a bounty of new footballs for the upcoming season.
Shiel kicked 3 "super" goals in thier NAB Challenge match on the weekend and in doing so rewarded his junior club with $1500 worth of brand new Sherrin footballs ($500 for each goal). The bonus scheme, only in place for the NAB Challenge, is massive for any junior football club where new training balls are a rarity.
Dylan was signed to GWS in 2010 under list concessions granted to the club after averaging 30 possessions a game from his stint with the Dandenong Stingrays. Another fine product of the Edithvale-Aspendale junior system, Dylan and his teammates enter the 2014 season with high hopes and expectations. The young stars of tomorrow, shining through every junior program they engaged in, are about the make their mark on the biggest stage there is.
